The storybook edition Starring Twinkle & Alex

Elves make toys in a bustling Christmas workshop.

A very busy workshop

At the very heart of the North Pole, inside a jolly red-and-gold building, Twinkle zipped through Santa's workshop. Toys were stacked to the ceiling, ribbons curled across the floor, and the list of gifts seemed to grow longer every minute. "Oh snowflakes," Twinkle puffed, "we're falling behind!"

A snowglobe opens a magical doorway into the workshop.

A magical invitation

Twinkle stopped beside a glowing snow globe on a shelf. Inside, Alex's room twinkled in tiny detail. "I know just who can help," Twinkle said. With a tap of a candy-cane wand, the snow globe shimmered and a sparkling doorway opened between the North Pole and Alex's home.

A child discovers tables of toys and cheerful elves.

Welcome to the North Pole

In a blink, Alex stepped through the shimmering doorway and gasped. Everywhere they looked, elves were painting wooden trains, testing bouncing balls, and tying shiny bows. Laughter and music filled the air. "Welcome to Santa's workshop!" Twinkle beamed. "Will you help us get everything ready in time?"

Friends sort toys and sing together at a worktable.

Better together

"We can do this together," Alex said. They helped Twinkle sort toys by size, match games with their missing pieces, and line up gifts for wrapping. Whenever an elf looked tired, Alex started a silly sing-along, and soon the whole workshop was working and laughing in rhythm.

A cart of unlabelled gifts waits beside an enormous list.

The missing gift tags

Just when things were going smoothly, an alarm shaped like a gingerbread cookie chimed. A whole cart of presents had accidentally been wrapped without name tags! "If we guess wrong, the gifts might go to the wrong homes," an elf worried. Alex suggested they check Santa's list together and turn it into a matching game.

A circle of helpers matches presents with their gift tags.

A perfect match

Working as a team, Alex, Twinkle, and the other elves read each name and clue on the list. They listened carefully, matched each gift, and cheered whenever they got one right. Soon, every present had the perfect tag. The workshop bells rang out a happy chime: everything was ready.

Santa thanks a child and the elves beside the finished gifts.

A thank-you from Santa

Just then, Santa himself stepped into the workshop, shaking snow from his red coat. His eyes twinkled as he looked at Alex. "Ho ho ho! Thank you for helping my elves," he said kindly. "You used your heart and your hands to help others, and that is the true magic of the North Pole. Helpers like you will always find themselves on my nice list." Alex smiled, feeling warm all over, knowing that kindness was the best gift of all.
